Smile design is not a single procedure. Depending on the examination, a plan may involve preventive care, whitening, orthodontics, veneers, crowns or gum treatment in different combinations.
The aim is to prepare a treatment plan appropriate to the teeth, face, age and expectations. The procedures, limitations, stages and possible risks are discussed before treatment.

Photographs, scans or temporary materials may be used to communicate the proposed plan where appropriate.

Any agreed procedures are arranged in a clinically appropriate order.

Bite, speech, cleaning access and appearance are reviewed, followed by individual care instructions.

How long does it take?

The proposed form and shade are planned with the patient’s features in mind. Results and perception vary, and the clinical limitations are explained during planning.
What if I have decay or gum disease?
Active oral health problems should be treated before elective aesthetic stages. This is considered at the beginning of the plan.
